Biography

Saifur Rahman Sohag was born on August 31, 1986 in Madaripur district. Father H. M. Abdur Rahman is an ideal teacher. Mother Morzina Khanam retired family welfare assistant. Sohag is second son among the three children. He studied in the same School where Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman crossed the secondary level named Madaripur United Islamia Government High School. After that he passed the Higher Secondary  from Government Nazimuddin University College. He was admitted to the Department of Linguistics at the University of Dhaka in the 2005-06 academic year and successfully achieved Bachelor and Masters degree. He is studying for the second post-graduate degree in Disaster Management Department at Dhaka University.

 

As well as education, the progressive meditative personality Suhag was always a political person. In 2002-04, he was an activist of Nazimuddin University College Chattra League in protest movement against the misdeed of BNP-Jamaat, during meetings and procession. In recognition of his pioneering role in liberation movement of 1/11, he was given the responsibility of General Secretary of the Chhatra League. Then he was elected the President of the Bangladesh Chhatra League Central Executive Committee and the 28th National Conference of Bangladesh Chhatra League in 2015 by direct vote of Chhatra League leaders and activists across the country.

 

He has organized study and student rituals very well. He has studied a lot outside the curriculum because of his interest in national politics and history as well as student interest. With the help of theoretical knowledge and practical experience, today Saifur Rahman Sohag is a committed student leader, the inspiration of millions of BCL leaders-workers, employees of general students.
